How to Listen Live

If Super Radio X sounds like your kind of thing, you might just wanna tune in. "But how?" you ask. Well, my friend, this guide is for you!

How To Tune In:

  • First check the show schedule on our front page to find out when our next show is — it's hard to listen live when there's nothing to listen to!
  • When a show is scheduled, either click on this link or enter the following IP address into the MP3 player of your choice: 134.181.66.139:8000
    • How to enter IP address into Winamp:
      • Open Winamp
      • Hold Ctrl+L
      • Copy 134.181.66.139:8000 into the text box
      • Click "Open"

What if you can't connect?

  • Super Radio X is a popular show, and its listenership almost always overload's WRBC's audio streaming server, leaving a lot of people who'd like to hear the show without a connection.
  • If this happens to you, fear not! Some of Super Radio X's faithful fans have taken to splitting and relaying our audio stream so even more people can listen! But since the addresses of such streams are not monitored by Super Radio X, change often, and are the addresses of people's personal connections, we don't post them permanently on our site. There are a few ways you can find out these addresses and tune in via someone's personal relay:
    • The SRX Forums
      • Sometimes relayers post their addresses on our own message forums. Although this option is not guaranteed, if you aren't familiar with the IRC or don't want to leave the site, you may want to check here first.
    • The IRC
      • Most of our relayers hang out in the IRC chat channel #ocremix, served at EnterTheGame.com. If you're not familiar with the IRC, you can download an IRC client (a program to run the chat) at www.mirc.com. They also offer an intro to IRC here. If a show is going on, this method is almost guaranteed.
    • The OverClocked Remix Forums
      • Before most shows someone on our staff makes an announcement post on the General Forum at DJ Pretzel's Overclocked Remix. Relayers often post their addresses as responses to the post shortly before air time. If you're looking for the thread, it will have "Super Radio X" in the title.

Sit back, crank up the volume, and enjoy!

What if I miss a show? Is there anyway to hear past shows?

You had to visit your Great Aunt. You slept late. Your connection died. For whatever reason, you had to miss a show. Or maybe you just got into Super Radio X and you want to hear what the show was like when it was just starting out. How can you get your hands on a recorded copy of Super Radio X?

Unfortunately we can't host all the old shows online. As much as we'd like to, the cost of hosting so many huge files is well beyond the budget of a show like ours. But don't despair, for there is a way! In January of 2003, we are releasing a very limited edition set of SUPER RADIO X ARCHIVES in a 5 CD set. We're taking pre-orders now, so if you want one, order soon! We won't be making more than a handful for our biggest fans (or anyone else who'll shell out $17 for 72 hours of quality audio!).

If spending money is not an option, try hanging out on our forums, in our chatroom, or at DJ Pretzel's Overclocked Remix. There are people with copies of our shows out there, and if you're nice they just might be willing to send you one. There should be more people with mp3s of our shows after the archive sets are released, so if you can't find the show you need... be patient!
