Haven't updated in a while. But then, I haven't had anything to update with! Send me some articles, reviews, or other goodies. Thanks.

You should also check out Peasant's Quest. It's a parody of the classic King's Quest PC titles. Which you should also check out. Anyway, it's cool. Oh yeah, and you'll need Flash to play it.

07.16.2004: New review up in the review section; Dan lets us know all about the wonders of ToeJam and Earl 3! Check it out!

06.10.2004: I often find myself spending a lot of money on video games. While this is fine, sometimes a man's gotta eat, too! This is why God invented free games on the internet. Here's a couple I've been playing lately:

Bush Game - Not only do you get to play as Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, and He-Man, but you also get to take down George W. Bush's high-ranking government cronies! What could be better? Plus, the game incorporates cool graphs and charts with all sorts of info, like how Bush created the worst debt in the history of the U.S.! Now that's INFOTAINMENT! It's from the makers of the world-renowned Emo Game.

King's Quest I & II - AGD Interactive, apparently just a group of buddies who love old games, are slaving away to bring the world VGA, mouse interface, remakes of those ancient and amazing Sierra adventure games. So far they've finished the first two games in the King's Quest series, and they're currently working on Quest for Glory 2. These slow-paced games, which can be played in a window on your desktop, are perfect for those long days at work when you should be doing something better.

06.08.2004: What better way to spend a hot summer evening than by beating Super Mario Bros. 3? That's what I did tonight! I never could beat it when I was little, and while I can't remember if I've beaten it since then (I may have on Super Mario All-Stars), I sure did tonight, on my new NES SP! The cool thing about the Game Boy Advance version is that, once you beat it, you can play any level at any time on the same save file. This includes mushroom houses, so I am well on my way to building up a huge reserve of precious Tanooki suits!

Perhaps I should review the Game Boy Advance remake? I don't know. I'd have trouble not giving it double the perfect score, since Mario 3 is pretty much the best game ever. We'll see!

06.03.2004: I'm trying to get back into the habit of updating the site! Since the last update, I've been working a lot and have not had much time to post stuff. But tonight I'm posting the long-delayed review section! It's only got two reviews so far, and, the way things go around here, it may never have any more, but enjoy the two!

*P.S. -- Let me know if there are any broken links or anything in the new pages. I've had them in a drawer, done, for about 2 months, so I don't remember if I left anything important undone. Thanks!

04.23.2004: New info on Viewtiful Joe 2! You can count on good ol' Capcom to churn out the sequels. Speaking of series with sequels, Mega Man Anniversary Collection isn't coming out until June. I don't get it. Why a five month delay for a collection of 15 year old games? Oh well, it'll be cool when it finally comes out.

04.22.2004: Ozma will supposedly be going on tour this summer with Rooney. If they hit Boston, I'll probably be there. Will you?

The Watchmen movie has a director, it seems. It'll be interesting to see how this one turns out, if it does.

04.21.2004: Almost another whole week! Well, I'm slowly getting back into the groove of things and should have a whole new section up soon.

Viewtiful Joe 2 has been announced! Now it's going to be on both PS2 and Gamecube, so if you don't have a Cube yet, you can still get your hands on the game. Why you wouldn't have a Cube, I don't know.

Speaking of Gamecube, a sequel to Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee has been announced, but only for PS2 and XBox? What's going on here? The original game sold over 300,000 copies on the Cube in the U.S. and about 30,000 on the XBox. I can understand when stuff like "L.A. Crime Squad 3" doesn't make it to the Cube, and I could care less, but it seems strange to me for a company to take a proven franchise elsewhere.

04.15.2004: Wow, already a week since the last update. Sorry for the delay -- I started a new job this week and had to take care of my taxes. Hope you all got them in on time! I should be able to update with some new content up by Monday, if not this weekend. In the meantime, here's some news.

Silicon Knights is no longer a Nintendo second party. This kind of sucks, as I liked Eternal Darkness, but there's still the chance their next game will come out for the Cube anyway. Who knows? I've only ever played one original game of theirs (Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is cool, but it's definitely not just their game), and they haven't made all that many to begin with, so we'll see what happens. I guess it's most surprising because of how they always talked like they were siamese twins with Nintendo, never to be separated. Minds changed I guess.

In happy news, they have apparently made Trekkies 2! If you haven't seen the original Trekkies, you should check it out. It's a fun and hilarious documentary about Star Trek fans and their lifestyle.

04.08.2004: Holy moley! If you play Soul Calibur II, check out the Soul Calimeter! Wacky!

After a day off from the site I've updated the Articles yet again with Tales from the Cube, the true story of when my Gamecube had to make a trip to Redmond, Washington for repairs. Shocking!, I know.

The Eisners are kind of like the Oscars of comic books, except cooler, because comic book awards are just a hundred times cooler than movie awards by default. Anyway, the 2004 nominess have been announced.

If you're going to go to the movies this weekend, do me a favor and go see Hellboy instead of Jesus: The Movie. Not only will you still get the religous backdrop and demonic figures, but you'll also get Nazis, monsters, and one-liners that are in English. Also, I really want them to make a sequel.

04.06.2004:
Looks like the director of Barbershop will be directing the Fantastic Four movie. Interesting choice.

I've added a page with submission guidelines for those of you looking to get published on the prestigious internet.

04.05.2004: The articles section has been updated again, this time with the classic article Sex vs. Video Games: The Eternal Struggle. If you haven't read it before, please do so! If you have, I added about two new sentences, and if that isn't compelling, I don't know what is!

04.04.2004: I've added our interview with Ozma to the articles section. Check it out.

The Links page has also been updated with a few more links.

Don't forget, Clickers is playing tonight at the Middle East Club in Cambridge, MA. If you're in the area, check it out! If you're not, at least check out their website. Clickers is one of the other bands that Mike from Project X is involved in. No, I'm not gonna post about every show they do, but the Middle East Club is a pretty popular place. I know I like it! It's also where we interviewed Ozma back in the day.

04.03.2004: The Articles section is now up! It's a little empty, as I've only converted and uploaded one of the old articles, but check it out anyway. The current article is "The Spy's Secret Game Previews," a piece we originally ran in 2002. I edited it a bit, but it's pretty much as it was back then. Enjoy! I'll try and get some more stuff in there soon. In the meantime, check out the Articles section and let me know what you think on the message board.

I'm currently working on getting some of the old content back online. Until then, why not join some of the discussions on our message board?

What did you think of Hellboy?
Paper Mario 2 announced!
Post a picture of your kitten!
What games haven't you finished?

04.02.2004: Well, I put up a poll. But then I took it back down! I'm going to wait for a while to start putting up polls. For now I'm going to concentrate on the important things, like more games and getting the old articles back up (and perhaps some new ones).

I've also reformatted the site a bit so that it should fit better on a screen with a 800x600 resolution. No more horizontal scrolling. But if you're still at 640x480... sorry?

04.01.2004: I haven't yet put up a page for games and goodies, but if you want to play Video Game Hangman, you can do so by clicking here.

If you don't feel like paying IGN $68* a year for their Insider service, you can snag the Quicktime version of the Resident Evil 4 trailer I linked to yesterday at gametrailers.com.
*Number made up.

Kyle from our message board has brought to the world's attention that Flash Flash Revolution, a Flash version of Dance Dance Revolution, uses a Project X's Bubble Man track for one of its levels. To play the level (which he says is easy but Mike and I agree is hard), go to the game's website, register, and start a game in the "Arcade" genre.

As an internet user, there's a good chance you have a boatload of spyware and adware on your computer. Pages you KNOW don't have pop-ups giving you pop-ups anyway? Computer running suspiciously crappily? Try downloading programs such as Ad-Aware and Spybot and see what you can find. I bring this up because I have been doing this for the last few days and I'm amazed by how much crap I find and how often it arrives.

03.31.2004: Devil's Due has just announced that they'll be producing a series of Army of Darkness comic books, starting in July. Might be cool (it is Army of Darkness), might suck (those Evil Dead video games weren't too hot, were they?)... we'll see!

If you enjoy shooting zombies (and don't we all?), you should check out the new Resident Evil 4 trailer that IGN just posted. Sure, they say there aren't any actual zombies in the game, but those guys look sorta zombie-ish to me.

Also, if you're a Hellboy fan (and who isn't?), you should get your self a cuddly little beanie Hellboy!

Perhaps I pimp them too much (or perhaps not enough?), but Mike's band is playing at the Middle East in Cambridge this Sunday. If you'll be in New England you should check it out. You can just drool in awe at the fact that you're seeing, IN PERSON, not only half of Project X but also someone who was interviewed on Super Radio X.

03.30.2004: Added the LINKS page. And a "Home" link, which is pretty useless if you click it from this page but handy if you click it from another page. Obviously the site is still being worked on, so if you see something funny, it might not be permanant. But then again, it might be!

Oh yeah, also, buy me some of this stuff.

03.29.2004: Check out the fancy blue sidebar and let me know what you think of it on the forums. Yeah, I know it looks kinda like those automatic Google ads (might be a bad thing), but I do like the blue of the robot being balanced on the right side. Feels a bit more complete to me. I COULD make it wider, but then the site would require more scrolling for the 600x800 crowd. Well, let me know!

03.28.2004: Trying out still more new looks! I'm worried if I get all fancy that the page won't work on some browsers, so let me know on the message board! Keep checking back! Also, be aware that those 3 plain text links above will be replaced with something cooler. And while you're at it, why not check out the newly-updated Project X minisite?

And while you're at THAT, why not check out the awesome new NES SP? And then buy me one!

03.07.2004: Just testing out another new look. Let me know what you think on our message board.

03.04.2004: Hello! I'm trying to get this website back up and running in some manner. I don't know exactly what it'll end up looking like, so keep checking back! In the meantime, check out this cool Duckhunt game!
